If you suffer with acne, then you gotta know the benefits of drinking water.
Drinking more water will be your single most important ingredient you add to your clear skin diet.
It doesn't matter which type of acne
you suffer with, drinking more water will give you clearer skin. There are many health benefits of drinking water.
Nowadays, everyone has a handy water bottle, especially in the hot summer months.
Have you noticed, celebrities with flawless complexions are always walking around with bottled water? Have you noticed the beautiful Jennifer Aniston is "sporting" her SMARTWATER? Need I say more?
It's real easy to start a healthy routine of drinking water!
How? Simple...drinking more water helps by:
• Flushing toxins out of your body
• Flushing those excess hormones out of your body.
• Balancing and regulating hormones
• Hydrating skin by delivering healing nutrients throughout your body-thus speeding up the healing process.
Now that you know the benefits of drinking water, you see why it's so important to include it in your clear skin diet.
I know it sounds so simple, but so many of us fail to consume the recommended daily allowance of water. It's time to drink water for clear skin, because drinking water helps acne!
What is the amount of water you should be drinking for clearer skin?
It's important to exercise common sense here. Don't overdo it and drink so much water, that you become hyperhydrated (water poisoning).
I know there are many opinions out there.
• Some recommend 6-8 16oz. glasses of water per day
• Some say to drink half your body weight in oz.
For example: if you weigh 120lbs., divide by 2 = 60. You should then drink 60oz. of water per day.
• Then there are those like me who recommend drinking until your urine is clear.
For me it's around my 6-8 glasses of water is when I find my urine is clear.
There are those who suffer with acne and know the benefits of drinking water for acne, but struggle with drinking all that water. I know, because there are those times that I still find it hard to drink my 6-8 glasses per day.
Hey, I'm just like you!
Well, it’s not so much that I can’t find the time to drink enough water…it’s the inconvenience of running to the bathroom every 5-10 minutes
Don’t laugh, you know it to be true : )
But there is ABSOLUTELY no way around it…in order to fight acne, get it under control and have clearer skin….YOU MUST DRINK YOUR WATER!
Make it habit forming- Routine Schedule
I like to set a daily schedule to drink enough water throughout the day on an hourly schedule. Example: 1 o’clock, 2 o’clock, 3 o’clock etc.
• Replace all other beverages with WATER, by doing this, you will be amazed with the extra opportunities you have to drink water!
This could easily give you 3 or more opportunities to drink enough water.
My frig rarely contains sodas or other nutrient dense beverages.
I buy and drink only distilled or purified water.
To reap the total benefits of drinking water for acne...it's important to know, all drinking water is not the same...
Why only Distilled or Purified Water for Acne?
Distilled Water contains zero minerals. That allows this water to act as a magnet drawing impurities out of our body!
Yeah, and you thought water was just ....water.....nope!
I find that pretty incredible for something as plain as water to have the ability to draw out impurities. : )
Next, there is Purified Water. Drinking Purified Water for acne is great, because it supplies oxygen throughout the body (oxygenate), something Distilled Water does not do.
Don't worry if you haven't been drinking distilled or purified water. I feel any form of clean drinking water is better than no water at all. Just make a conscience choice from here to make your water intake "purified water or "distilled water".
• Get yourself a handy reusable water bottle
Get yourself a handy water bottle that can hold at least half of your daily water intake. This way it will be less inconvenient to fill up only 2 xs per day. ; )
Don't forget to add a slice of fresh organic lemon to your daily drinking water. By doing so you've added another POWERFUL acne fighting ingredient to your "Clear Skin Diet"
ONE LAST WORD...ON THE BENEFITS OF DRINKING WATER FOR ACNE
Have you heard of those whose acne worsened when they first began drinking more water?
Don't worry, this is only temporary!
This is actually a sign that drinking water is helping your skin.
This initial breaking-out is your body purging itself of toxins. These toxins are escaping through your skin, and unfortunately you are temporary seeing the results on face.
In a matter of a few days...you will see improvement. ; )
I have teenage acne and it bothers me. Recently I purchaced Starbucks Vanilla Rooibos tea. After drinking a few cups i felt so much better! My acne calmed down and i felt good about myself! Thanks so much!

I got some Rooibos Tea Double Red Rooibos at my local organic market day before yesterday, because I had a sore throat and wanted to get a couple different kinds of tea to drink hot to help with my throat. This morning, I looked in the mirror and noticed, even though I've been awfully sick, how good my face looks. I'll have to get back to y'all about how I look in a week or two, but if this is the power of Red Rooibos Tea, I'm sold!

I've had severe acne for more than 10 years and i have a complete collection of acne cream and face wash in my possession. I've been drinking green tea for 5 - 6 months now, there were some improvements but not as good as i was expecting and the caffeine present in green tea didn't do any good either. But seriously ? After reading this article i thought why not? let's give it a try! As green tea was 1 of the only thing that actually made a difference, i started to believe in herbal teas.
While being on a low G.I diet, i brought a pack of fresh Rooibos tea and had about 8 - 10 cups a day...and after only 3 days, believe me or not, my acne was completely gone! Those huge cysts i had on both cheeks were all 'dried up' and can only be described as brown spots by now. This is so unexpected that i still can't believe it myself.
If you've had acne like me for so long and tried about everything, Rooibos tea might be the real remedy for some of us, but i don't know if the results would be the same for everyone eventually but well, just give it a try :)
