Citrus for Acne

by Sophie
(California)

A tall glass of freshly pressed grapefruit juice is great in the morning, especially in summer. It's bitter and sweet, full of Vitamin C, and doesn't leave you feeling 'heavy' like many pre-made bottled juices do.

If you can handle it, lemon juice (yes, freshly squeezed over ice) is good... though I find most people prefer to use the juice on their skin... it tightens it, clears it (reacts with the melanin and lightens it for those of us who have freckles), it doesn't dry out your skin, and it smells great. :D

I'm not a big fan of beets and kale, but the citrus fruits are a great choice for those of us who aren't too keen on sweet frutis (grapes). :D
