Declaring Peanuts as My Enemy
by Peanuts Cause Acne Sufferer

I have been battling with bad skin for years. For the past 2 years it appeared that I have found a way to deal with it through careful diet and routine skin peels at my dermatologist.
I have kept strict and disciplined routines - such as with the foods I take, ensuring that I have sufficient daily intake of fruits and vegetables, rationing only 1 teaspoon of chocolate every month, going easy on fried food and insisting on habits such as bowel clearing for at least twice a day. My efforts have proved to pay off, well, at least till I have recently gave in to my crave for peanuts.
The effect took no time to show - I only took a small bite of the cookie with roasted peanuts and acne began to surface on my chest and back area on the very next day.
The Chinese has an explantaion for this - roasted food is associated with "heatiness". And in the same way as fried food. And in the case of peanuts, they contain exceptionally high content of oil. These two ingredients - heat and oil, are the perfect cocktail of "stimulating" the heat in human bodies. Incidentally, peanuts which are cooked in soup, does not have the same effect on my skin like roasted peanuts do.
With this painful experience, I have resolved to quit roasted peanuts for the rest of my life. Or at least, until the noble scientists find a way to allow me a disaster-free way of peanut indulgence again.
