Fish Oil For Acne Really Works!

Acne treatment before and after from Derma Cleanse

Does Fish Oil For Acne Really work? The Majority Of Acne Sufferers Who Have Tried It Agree It Does Work.

If you've had sometime to look around my site, you'll see that I am big on tackling acne internally as well as externally. This is a given for those with moderate to severe types of acne.

So Why Fish Oil For Acne? The Key Word Here Is "INFLAMMATION"

Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Fish oil has the amazing ability to fight inflammation and reduce swelling associated with acne. Adding fish oil to your diet is an excellent way to tackle your acne internally.

Extensive studies have shown that fish oils are effective in controlling acne, because they deal with inflammation from the inside.

Acne IS skin inflammation, reacting to an over production of sebum (oil). If you find an effective way to reduce inflammation, then you have a better chance controlling your acne.

There is a significant link between Omega 3 fatty acids and the reduction of inflammation. Take for instance, arthritis. Omega 3 has great impact on arthritis sufferers, because arthritis in inflammation.

Excellent Anti-Bacterial Properties

Omega 3 oils are excellent anti-bacterias. With the over-production of sebum (oil), it allows for a breeding ground for bacteria. As we all well know, the combination of excess sebum (oil) clogged pores and bacteria will surely lead to acne.

Ways To Get Fish Oil

Salmon (my favorite, I try to have it at least once per week), there's also trout, herring, mackerel, and tuna. 1 gram (1000 mg) of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids dailyfor me, would consist of 1-2 servings of salmon. Yum.

How Much Fish Oil Should You Take For Acne?

The recommended TOTAL daily amount is about 1000mg EPA/DHA.

The AHA recommends that you take fish oil for this use, only under the supervision of your healthcare provider. The AHA (American Heart Association) recommends a daily dosage of 650-1000mg.

Be sure to read the label.
