Chatting with one of my very educated, highly health conscience aunts, she shared with me one of the benefits of drinking Rooibos Tea-fighting acne. Like you and everyone else who has dealt with acne, I didn't hesitate...I went straight to the health food store and purchased Numi Organic Rooibos Tea.
Yes! Yes! Yes!...by soaking up excess sebum (oil).
Rooibos or Redbush Tea grows in the elevated desert regions of the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa. Its flavor is a mixture of fruitiness and vanilla and its color is a lively orange-red combination. Naturally caffeine-free and a powerful antioxidant, some say more so than green tea. Rooibos is also loaded full of minerals, but contains very low tannin. This is a relaxing, healthy tea.
• Sebum (oil) I asked myself, “what makes this African Tea so wonderful for people like me with acne?” I found one of the main benefits of Rooibos Tea is its ability to absorb sebum (oil). Wow, this tea is responsible for soaking up so much sebum (oil), not only can you see it, but you can literally feel your skin drying.

For my oily skin flare-ups, I drink 2-4 tall glasses per day, depending on the severity. You need to see for yourself, just how much tea you will need to control your condition. I personally see nothing wrong with drinking up to 6 glasses of tea, if necessary. Be sure to stay on top of your water intake, as well.

I got some Rooibos Tea Double Red Rooibos at my local organic market day before yesterday, because I had a sore throat and wanted to get a couple different kinds of tea to drink hot to help with my throat. This morning, I looked in the mirror and noticed, even though I've been awfully sick, how good my face looks. I'll have to get back to y'all about how I look in a week or two, but if this is the power of Red Rooibos Tea, I'm sold!

I've had severe acne for more than 10 years and i have a complete collection of acne cream and face wash in my possession. I've been drinking green tea for 5 - 6 months now, there were some improvements but not as good as i was expecting and the caffeine present in green tea didn't do any good either. But seriously ? After reading this article i thought why not? let's give it a try! As green tea was 1 of the only thing that actually made a difference, i started to believe in herbal teas.
While being on a low G.I diet, i brought a pack of fresh Rooibos tea and had about 8 - 10 cups a day...and after only 3 days, believe me or not, my acne was completely gone! Those huge cysts i had on both cheeks were all 'dried up' and can only be described as brown spots by now. This is so unexpected that i still can't believe it myself.
If you've had acne like me for so long and tried about everything, Rooibos tea might be the real remedy for some of us, but i don't know if the results would be the same for everyone eventually but well, just give it a try :)
