I remember shortly after the birth of my son, I developed the largest skin boil in the back of my knee. I kid you not, this skin abscess was the size of a baseball. I could hardly walk, and fearing the worse, I went to my doctor and she prescribed me antibiotics. Within a couple of days the abscess began to shrink.
A skin boil can sometimes rupture on it's own within a few days or you can take matters into your own hands and begin treating your boil now.
Try Using Garlic
Today, there are many ways to treat your boils from home. I will start with garlic, because I am very familiar of the medicinal values of garlic.
By the way, I love raw garlic.
Using garlic for the treatment of boils is quite easy. Simply cut or shred a small piece of garlic and lay it on top of your boil. I prefer to shred my garlic, I feel that way I am releasing a greater amount of it's healing juices. If you apply it to the boil and secure it with a band-aid overnight, by morning you should notice a significant improvement.
If this is your first time using garlic directly to your skin, you may want to try this technique for a couple of hours, before attempting to do it overnight.
Small caution here: I'm sure you've guessed by now that you may feel stinging discomfort, but that's expected. If the discomfort is too unbearable, remove the garlic and try another remedy
The Incredible Uses Of Manuka Honey
Another popular home remedy for skin boils is Manuka Honey. I was first introduced to "Manuka Honey" when I was experiencing stomach issues. After extensive research into this medicinal honey, I was convinced of it's incredible healing abilities.
Just like garlic, apply Manuka Honey directly to your skin boil. The honey will cause the abscess to drain (if it's come to a head) or do disappear.
Manuka is very capable of killing staph aureus, which is responsible for skin boils.
Important Tip: Your Manuka Honey should be "Active".
I trust and get my "Active Manuka Honey from

Simple Sea Salt
This may not come as a surprise to you, but Sea Salt is a VERY popular treatment of boils.
You're going to start with…….
• boiling approximately a gallon of water
• remove water from heat and pour water into a large bowl or sink
• add 1 cup of sea salt
• stir to dissolve salt
• when water is warm enough to touch (water should be the warmest you are able to tolerate, without hurting yourself, when applied to your skin)
• dip a very clean washcloth in the water, ring out and gently apply to your boil for 10-15. If you wish, dip washcloth again and reapply
• allow to air dry
• use several drops of full strength tea tree oil directly to your boil
• cover with a band-aid or gauze
Do this a few times throughout the day. Sea Salt will bring your boil to a head and tea tree oil is responsible for killing the bacteria!
An Internal Solution For The Treatment Of Boils
If you've taken some time to look around my site, you would know I believe in tackling skin issues internally, as well as externally. This is where the spice Turmeric comes in to play.
Turmeric is a well known spice, used as an antibiotic. This spice is known to cure boils. Turmeric will simply shrink your boil and it will eventually go away in only a few days.
So how to use Turmeric internally for boils?
You're going to mix about 1 teaspoon of organic Turmeric powder in a glass of warm water. Drink this all within a few minutes. Because Turmeric powder can cause constipation, you'll want to be sure to follow your drink with a tall glass of water.
Boilx tackles skin boils by relieving the uncomfortable symptoms associate with boils such as:
• Heat
• Redness
• Swelling/Inflammation
• Stinging
• Itching
• Pain (sometimes severe)
If you find yourself suffering from recurring boils, i strongly recommend you consult your physician. Recurring boils can be a sign of a more serious health condition such as diabetes or a compromised immune system.
